Our Story

Hello everyone my name is Kim and welcome to Superhero Greens, an urban farm located right here in San Jose, CA.

The Reason

My husband and I started farming simply as a way to introduce more veggies into our daily lives.  This was especially more important now that we have two small children in the household.

​

But we ran into a brick wall.  I'm sure our challenge isn't unique - there's always someone in the family that does not enjoy veggies.  For us, it's me, my son and my father-in-law.

We thought "Gosh, there must be a product that taste better, has more nutrients, and you don't have to eat as much."  Our answer was the introduction of Microgreens.

 

Sharing is Caring

We started growing microgreens for our family and saw a world of a difference during mealtime.  And like all good things, I couldn't stop talking to my friends about how it changed our lives.  I touted their perks, brought over samples to share and even helped a few set up their own operation at home.   

 

Time is Precious

I quickly realized my friends were eager to eat them, but don't necessarily want to grow them.  Farming is a lot of work and it isn't everyone's cup of tea.  So we started growing for our buddies, and then our buddie's buddies.

And that's how we started Superhero Greens.  It was a hobby that grew into a necessity and eventually blossomed into a business.

We want to provide the Easy Button when it comes to introducing more veggies into your daily lives.  You let us know what you like and not only will we custom grow it for you, we'll even deliver it to your doorsteps.
